Robotic field joint coating
Internal and external girth weld coating for 8" to 60" pipelines, with robotic cleaning and inspection.
Our coating equipment covers pipe from 8″ to 60″ in diameter, for both internal and external field girth weld coating. The line-travel system includes a cleaning robot, a coating robot and an inspection robot, operated by wireless remote control.
Cycle times are adjustable, averaging 24 seconds per joint for FBE and 15 seconds for liquid coatings. The robot travels at 24 m/min, about one minute from girth weld to girth weld on double-joint pipe.
External coating equipment applies an even coat over the entire external girth weld surface using a semi-automatic control process.
